Back in 2012 I published this photo-article showing little free libraries gathered from around the net. There is something adorable and good-hearted about the very idea. Then one early morning in 2018 while jogging in Venice Beach I randomly came upon one. Overjoyed to finally see it with my own eyes, I went back home to bring the camera, hopped on the bike, and returned to the same location to capture it. It is now the featured photo shown above.
On a parallel note, Creative Bookshelves (2012) and Beautiful Libraries From Around the World (2015) and two other photo-articles here on One Lucky Soul; in the latter, I also added couple shots of mine captured at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina — taken during my first trip to this charming and historical coastal city in 34 years.
