The AIRPod: A Car That Runs on Air
After the i-Pod, the i-Phone and the i-Pad, now this is the futuristic Air-Pod, only that it's for riding.
The idea of a car working on air is not new, but to make it commercially viable and affordable eluded companies, until today. An Indian car company has come up with an air car that would cost only $10,000. I hope it will not mysteriously disappear like all cool, innovative ideas which are actually good for the planet.
With small size, a tiny price, zero pollution, fun and futuristic design, the AIRPod marks a turning point in the range of urban vehicles while renewing the idea of the automobile and transportation.
The approximate amount to fill the car is 1 Euro of compressed air to fill a tank with 175 litres of air - enough for a relaxed 200 km drive.
The Air-Pod travels on 3 wheel and has space for three passengers. Top speed is limited to 80 km/h at the moment, just perfect for an urban car that can also go on the roads.
The first commercially sold Air-Pod will roll off the assembly line as soon as next year in France.
Brilliant ideas are all over, they just need to be passionately adopted and implemented on larger scales and sort of force themselves as the new alternative. We always have to remember that in the big scheme of things, life can only advance and develop through ingenuity.

The Heavenly Crepuscular Rays
Crepuscular
rays in atmospheric optics, are rays of sunlight that appear to
radiate from a single point in the sky, specifically where the sun is. These
rays have long since been associated with the majesty and beauty of the
heavens. As we stare at these golden light shots, it's easy to
imagine them coming from the mysterious beyond. |
These
rays, which stream through gaps in clouds (particularly stratocumulus)
or between other objects, are columns of sunlit air separated by darker
cloud-shadowed regions. |
They often occur when objects such as mountain peaks or clouds partially shadow the sun's rays like a cloud cover. |
Rays
of light penetrating holes in low clouds, beams of light diverging from
behind a cloud, and pale, pinkish or reddish rays that radiate from below
the horizon, are often mistaken for light pillars. |
