World's Ugliest Dogs...are still somehow adorable



World’s Ugliest Dog Contest is an annual contest held in Petaluma, California, U.S., as part of the Sonoma-Marin Fair, to decide which of the dogs entered in the contest is the ugliest. Along with the title of “The World’s Ugliest Dog” the winner’s owner receives a check for USD $1,000 and a year's supply of dog biscuits. 
29 dogs from around the world have taken part in this year's contest. The winner was Mugly, the 8-year-old Chinese crested dog from the UK.

Back in 2012 I published this photo-article, made up of captures gathered from around the net. Then one early morning of 2018 while jogging in Venice Beach I came upon a little free library. Overjoyed to finally see one, I went back home to bring the camera, hopped on the bike, and returned to the same location to capture a photo or two. You can find it below at the very end.
